Heidi Patterson, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Heidi Patterson was born in NJ, but raised on a small family farm in Tennessee surrounded by cows, chickens, and many barn cats. She decided to be a veterinarian by the age of 5. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 after working in a human genetics lab for several years. Shortly after graduating from vet school, Dr. Patterson moved to Colorado, initially living on the front range, and has lived in Fruita since 2020. She has worked as an associate and relief vet in general practice seeing small animals and exotics, and was a staff veterinarian in an animal shelter for many years. Her areas of professional interest include pain control, internal medicine, and cytology. She also greatly enjoys working with geriatric patients.
When not helping pets in Fruita, Dr. Patterson enjoys the great outdoors as much as possible - hiking, trail running, snowshoeing, and camping as often as possible with her partner, Charles. They share their home with one chunky old kitty named Ein.
