American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation!
2017 is off and running and we are pleased to report that our hospital recently completed its 3 year evaluation process for American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation! We are committed to and passionate about putting forth the effort and resources required to become an accredited animal hospital. We voluntarily participate in this inspection to help assure we are offering our clients and patients excellent medical care. Kokopelli Animal Hospital is pleased to be among the15% of animal hospitals nationwide that have gone through the stringent accreditation process required by AAHA.
Did you know that all human hospitals in the U.S. caring for people with Medicare must undergo the scrutiny of an accrediting body and achieve accreditation status? This entails regular reviews and quality checks to be certain these facilities meet stands of quality for every aspect of medical care. In contrast, not all animal hospitals choose to pursue the AAHA accreditation process since it is not required by law. In the pet health care industry, this standard of excellence is voluntary. The accreditation process is rigorous and time-consuming.
Kokopelli Animal Hospital has been evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence to obtain its AAHA accreditation status. Dr. Bechtel began this commitment in 2008 and in order to maintain accreditation, KAH undergoes an in depth review by veterinary experts every 3 years. The most recent review was our 4th and each has helped us fine tune the quality and care provided to your pet. We look forward to this new year of championing excellent care!
